Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) – or enlarged prostate – is a condition that affects men as they grow older. BPH can cause a lot of discomfort among men, but fortunately it is non-cancerous and is not life-threatening.
Want to know if you have BPH? Here’s a list of symptoms of enlarged prostate.
At some point in their life, nearly all men will suffer from prostate problems. One of the most common is BPH. Enlargement of the prostate means that the prostate gland gets bigger, causing a blockage of the flow of urine. Since the prostate is located just below the bladder and surrounds the urethra, its enlargement can restrict the flow of urine from the bladder. As a result, men often experience difficulty urinating, can’t fully empty their bladder, and nearly always feel the urge to urinate.
In this video shared by Nature Vigor, learn more about BPH and how a diet rich in certain vitamins and minerals can maintain the health of your prostate and lower your risk of developing this condition.
