An enlarged prostate can cause a blockage of the urine flow. Since the prostate is located just below the bladder surrounding the urethra, its enlargement can restrict the flow of urine from the bladder. As a result, men often have difficulty urinating, can’t fully empty their bladder, and nearly always feel the urge to urinate.
