Getting a Read on LUTS: What is this Condition?

Nearly fifty percent of men over the age of 50 will at some point of their lives experience lower urinary tract symptoms. But this is not the only urinary disease that men may have to face as they grow older. Enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia is one of the most common causes of LUTS. The cause of this condition is the fact that, as men age, their prostate gland tends to enlarge, causing a blockage in the urethra. Lee Memorial Health System shared this video where Dr. Meir Daller, urologist on staff at Lee Memorial Health System, discusses some facts about LUTS and BPH
