Rezūm Treatment for BPH

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition that affects men as they get older and their prostates start to enlarge, causing urinary problems. There are several treatment options available for people with BPH, one of which is Rezūm.

What is BPH? Find out more about the disease here.

Dr. Todd Brandt from Metro Urology, Woodbury, Minnesota, explains the process of Rezūm treatment, and how it works to treat the condition and restore proper urinary flow. The water vapor therapy, or steam treatment, can be performed at the doctor’s office under a local anesthetic.

Patients treated with the Rezūm system showed improved lower urinary tract symptoms, according to a presentation at a scientific meeting. Read about the presentation and the study it was based on here.
