Minimally Invasive Procedures
As technology advances, so do the ways that BPH can be treated with minimally invasive procedures which work by making the urethra wider and destroying some of the excess prostate tissue.
There are now a few different options for men who wish to take this route in treating their BPH. Therapies currently available include transurethral needle ablation, high-intensity focused ultrasound, transurethral microwave thermotherapy, water-induced thermotherapy, prostatic stent insertion and Urolift. You can decide with your urologist which option is best for you based on the severity of your symptoms.
