1 Year After UroLift for BPH: Patient Comments

At some point in their life, almost every man will suffer from prostate problems, and one of the most common prostate problems is enlargement of the prostate, called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This is a non-cancerous condition that causes a lot of discomfort in men but it’s not life-threatening.

Want to know if you have BPH? Here’s a list of symptoms of enlarged prostate.

Enlargement of the prostate means that the prostate gland gets bigger, causing a blockage of the urine flow. Since the prostate is located just below the bladder and surrounding the urethra, its enlargement can restrict the flow of urine from the bladder. As a result, men have difficulties in urinating, can’t fully empty their bladder, and always feel the urge to run to the bathroom.

Urolift, an outpatient procedure performed on men who suffer urinary symptoms due to an enlarged prostate, is one of the types of treatment men undergo to treat BPH. In this video, shared by Sunrise Urology, listen to Dr. John C. Lin of Sunrise Urology in Gilbert, Arizona, talking to a patient who went through the procedure a year ago.

The patient shares his testimonial about using Urolift to treat his condition and how his life has been since he underwent the procedure.
