2. Urinary incontinence

As the bladder recovers from the surgery, some men may experience problems with incontinence. Again, this should be a short-term problem and once the bladder has returned to normal, any incontinence should stop. However, the length of time it takes the bladder to function fully usually depends on how long the patient had problems before surgery.
